After some 2000 miles of travel between Maineville and Oakley, 100s of boxes scattered in all the wrong places, dust and trash, cat vomit, cat poop and piss, kids freaking out about not seeing mommy and daddy, $1000s spent on furniture, multiple installation, water-system relocation, internet and phone hook-up, clothes dryer cord replacement surgery, a midnight trip to the hospital, beers with our real estate agent -- its done. Finally over. We are now home.
I can't even piece together all that's happened in the last few weeks. It has been endless and merciless. Its been stifflingly hot. Its been stressful and exhausting. Its been confusing and aimles. Its been lonely and frustrating. I don't know how long its been, but it feels entirely too long.
Now amongst the chaos of being unable to find papertowels or garbage bags, I'm happy to be in our new home.
I pray we all adjust quickly - find our way. I pray that our friends will stay remain close, even though we've moved further away. I pray that our kids will enjoy their own bedrooms without wailing at bedtime about scared, I pray that unpacking will go quicker than we thought, I pray that my clients won't fire me because of the obsticales that have prevented me from working, I pray that God will bless us and give us peace; and I thank God for His blessings.
Look for the "official" open house sometime in August.
