Recap: Heroes (S1E15)

CHAPTER 15: RUN!

What we learned:

  • Nathan is willing to pay a lot of money to make his mom happy. His mommy issues make him highly unstable. Money seems to solve all their problems.

  • Claire is getting more bold in confronting her "dad", especially as she watches her mom deteriorate (Alzheimer's?) in what can only be associated with numerous times she's had her memory erased. The "ditz" facate of her makes sense now.

  • Matt has an unsavory job as a body guard, or security liaison, or whatever you want to call it. His first assignment is for "Mr. ", the man who got Jessica/Nikki out of prison, and made deals with D.L. and once worked for Linderman. Jessica has a similar assignment -- but its to kill Mr. (assigned by Linderman).

  • Mohinder is frantically trying to get any "super" to return his calls. Zane Taylor is the only returned call. But luck of all luck Sylar shows up, posing as Mohinder (is he listening in on Mohinder or just THAT lucky?), "takes" Zane's power to destabilize and "melt" objects. The Mohinder shows up looking for Zane (which is really Sylar) and now Sylar has his "in" -- he'll go around the country with Mohinder to find all the others... which means Mohinder will stick around for awhile.

  • Ando and Hiro are ever so close to the sword, but get sidetracked by Ando's horniness. In an effort to be noble, Ando get's played by a showgirl to get "her bag back", which happens to be in Dauber Patrick's room; and he has a weapon. Needless to say things don't go well --- Dauber Patrick is a gaming commissioner, Ando is being played, and Hiro has been locked up.

  • And then there's Rocky Jr., I mean Peter, and Mr. Invisible were no where to be seen ...


What we don't know
  • Has Jessica always worked for Linderman?

  • Did anyone else think that Nathan was going to kill Claire's mom? I did ... he hates women (because he hates his mom but can't or won't stand up to her)

  • Is Hiro going to be taken to Coach? Will mayhem insue with Dauber and Luther? Or are they going to Bikini Bottom? I kid. What will happen with Ando and this showgirl? Who is she working with/for?

  • Did Nikki free herself from Jessica?

  • Does Ruprecht care that the mom is dying? Is he using it as a means to manipulate Claire?

  • How far will the Mohinder and Sylar road trip last?

  • Who will fly and who will die (my guess -- Nathan and Claire's mom)

We only got this episode in the UK last night. I know, I know, I could download the series (like a few of my friends) but I like the regular weekly fix.

As for the episode, well it wasn't the greatest but it definitely had its moments. Good see Parkman keep the diamonds; although I doubt they'll bring much luck...

PS Do you like that I'm keeping up with your 'recaps', 3 months after the fact? ;-)
