As I came down the stairs from tending to a very sick and possibly dehydrated, Paul, I witnessed the kiddos happily engaged in a game of Hi-Ho-Cherrio which they had started playing together of their own accord and announced it to me as well.
Nothing could make me happier than the kids playing nicely while I attend to the house and their sick Daddy. I was prepared for whining and bickering and asking for this and that, so, I am thankful for this momentary bliss.
Well, it’s later now and I got the whining and bickering and the flat out shrilling screams for the day (the ones I was waiting for) that come from Elliott after his sister has practically squeezed his cheeks right off his face out of frustration. I go to the door to see what is happening and Elliott is now playing happily as Abigail sits on our patio chair, having recently put HERSELF in time out!
