Well, we looked at quite a few houses again today, and feel very solid about making an offer on the Wethersfield house. We actually were early to the showing and got to talk with the mom. Her daughter, Mary-Grace, goes to CHCA and is a friend of Abigails’. We found out about the neighborhood — that there are lots of stay at home moms, other kids Abbie and Elliott’s age. Good stuff.
I still would like to remove the linoleum floors downstairs, and update the backyard a bit, but it’s the best house we’ve seen. The one that “feels” best. Hopefully we can offer less so that we can make those updates. The commute to school might actually take longer than now, unfortunately no quick ways of getting from here to there. So, we’re putting together an offer tonight with Tony, and letting the inevitable insanity of getting this house ready to sell sink into our skulls (I’m starting to feel sad AND freaked out at the same time).
Oh, and I have a ton of work to do — but just have NO time. Not good. Hopefully this will all work out for the best.
