The bathroom is usable; but not quite done. Our sink is on special order and still not in yet. We have a few accessories, like towel bars, hooks, to put in and the cabinet doors are still not done nor is the cubby on the side of the shower. The past week has been slow on getting things done. But we can turn on lights now.
I’ve been quite drained lately. Many deadlines, project juggling and I can\’t possibly meet them all. Some things have dwindled by the side of the road, but I have not (yet) forgotten them. I pray I can caught up without too much stress and sleepless nights (although I\’m not hopeful of that).
Tonight I have band practice. My heart is increasingly distant from what I once thought I was called to bring to our group, and in worship for the church. Perhaps it’s just time; I’ve been playing for more than a year and things are somewhat predictable — and change seems to just be a convenient word to keep people from leaving. A Saturday evening service would make much more sense; in terms of reaching people who like (or need) to worship in a contemporary style. We will be able to create an immersive, energized worship experience, but I have very little hope that it will ever happen. We cannot flat a mountain with a rolling pin.
