Saturday is the big day: Abigail will be celebrating her sixth year of life and words cannot adequately describe how excited she is! Tonight, before bed, she let me in on a little secret — something she is convinced of: Abigail said that when she wakes up tomorrow morning, if she has grown at all overnight, then she is indeed six; but, if she does NOT grow overnight then she is still five. Interesting logic.
Good thing she’s turning six on Saturday instead of tomorrow and I’ll probably just throw in a helpful comment like, noticeable growing doesn’t happen all in one night — just so she isn’t devastated that she hasn’t grown!” Grandmommy and Granddaddy (Paul’s padres) are meeting her at lunch for school; Abigail will be extremely thrilled when she hears that news tomorrow morning. In the afternoon, Elliott will be helping me make “dirt and worms” (which is pudding in a clear plastic cup with a gummy worm sticking out) for Abigail’s mini class celebration.
Happy Birthday Abigail!
