It feels as though I’ve been swooped up by a current and it’s a bit exhausting. I’m just about zapped of physical and mental energy and will be happy when we can truly celebrate the selling of our house and the buying of another.
Our house was on the market three days and in those three days we got an offer that we finally accepted after bartering back and forth and standing our ground. They decided they really wanted this little house on Mt. Vernon, and I’m glad. I hope they will come to love it as we have. Leaving it fills me with joy and sorrow as I reflect on all that happened here. There are memories to be made in our new and wonderful house as well, and soon enough, it will be home.
Now, we await the inspection and how the buyers will we respond after inspection; I’m sure they will take into consideration that this house is, after all, over 100 years old.
I’m looking forward to closure. Not long now … I’m just so tired.
