It’s a cool day, with a light drizzle, makes me want to walk into a deep forest in the foothills, as the leaves drip with rain. A dull glow guides through the maze of trunks, footing unsteady on the slippery roots and leaves — a sturdy stick for balance. Serenity and peace, lulling and not quite perfect.
Can’t believe it’s Wednesday. Not much to say. It is what it is. Another day. An albatross. A conundrum.
I hope the bathroom remodel gets started soon. I’m anxious to see it take shape and enjoy something that is more “us” in the house (at the very least to have comfort and personality in this crowded box).
I have this interesting idea for a “novel” in a very unconventional way. It will be “internet” based — links of several sites (I create “write”) that link together to form the story; a pseudo “Choose Your Own Adventure”, but with no options for different outcomes. It will root at a newspaper site of a small town somewhere (fictional), there will be stories I write (which will have to be many) and one which is the novel, unfolding a report and investigation by one reporter. It will lead to other “sites” corroborating the information, and creating the story through those various stories, sites, blogs, articles, company web pages, etc. Not sure how to pull it all together; I like it because it uses 2 of my passions: design and writing. We’ll see. Time is the factor which I have little to give but it’s churning in my mind.
I started reading “The Great Evangelical Disaster” by Francis Schaeffer. So far frighteningly acute and predictive; he warned of the things we are well entrenched in through the mainstream church. I shall give excerpts soon…
